Internet Usage

I came second in the work internet usage competition with a fifth of November's total coming from unacceptable "Social Networking" sites the rest mostly coming from exciting software and hardwear sites, I guess that means flickr and the gravychain. I only managed about a third of the total of the overall winner, who dabbled in a plethora of subjects.

Lonnie Donnegan Tribute

-- from Big Richard C - (?)

Paul wanted to go and see some oldsters playing Lonnie Donnegan songs in the Duke of Wellington on Monday. Which was ok but it meant that I missed CSS yesterday and Juana Molina tonight because I spent too much money. Bugger. I missed sexy brazillian punk funk girls and haunting argentine electronica for a load of octegenarians with washboards.

The Lonnie Donnegan tribute came complete with soap box bass and washboard and were actually quite good. Afterwards was a fat girl who thought she could sing, she couldn't, she was crap. All the old blokes fancied her.

3 Step Scuzz Ragga or Something

Friday was fun. Met Ben and Stuart for lots of very tasty after work kolschs at the german market. Could have stayed there all night but I had to collect Joshua and take him to my Mom and Dad's house. Later I headed back out to meet JoePhilStephenRachaelandDavid in Atticus in Bearwood. It was a salsa party. Joe was drinking girlie cocktails (later to complain that they gave him a hangover). I felt like I was only there ten minutes when Emma rang to tell me that I should collect her from work and we should go to a reggae night at rooty frooties. I met all of her workmates who seem cool. Drank too much. Even alcohomolpops. Caroline and Rich were there too. Music was alright, danced. Smoked tooooo many cigarettes. Was told that I was "really really really really really really lovely" by the girl from the train with huge eyes and pigtails and that it was "really really really really really really really cool" to see me. Got tired about four (eleven hours after meeting Ben). Got told off for wanting to go home at half five.

Feeling Rough

Nick came up with his new girlfriend at the weekend but I wasn't lively as I would have liked to have been because I had such a heavy cold. Instead of dragging him out to some dodgy nightclub till a silly time in the morning, we went to the Country Girl on Friday and stayed in Saturday, ate curry and drank wine. Which in fairness he probably enjoys more.

I'm still feeling rough now I had to sit down after doing the vacuuming earlier.
