Ben

I'm convinced that this man has being trying to kill me this week, first of all with shenaningans on Monday night and then again on Thursday by finishing me off with kans of kronenbourg in after pub drinking.

After leaving his house I was thoroughly ill and unable to balance on slippy back door stairs causing me to take quite a tumble, then lying on my living room floor unable to move with the walls spinning I caught the horrible sight of a dreadlocked hippy walking across the room.

Next morning with a combination of nasty cold and stinking hangover I resolve no more drinking for Richard...

I somehow managed to struggle into work and also managed to stay there till five.

Felt really rough all evening, busied myself with the interesting job of a windows reinstallation and service pack 2 download, successfully avoiding Dan, Dave and Ben's offers of nights out.

Still felt dreadful Saturday, extremely tired however after a lazy day wasn't quite so successful and was back off the wagon and in the Fighting Cocks drinking fine ales shortly.

Was dragged to the skate park but wasn't really up for it...should have gone for a pizza with Phil and Joe instead.

Programming and Hangovers

These last few weeks have been rather intense at work, working weekends too, I've done more work than ever before. But rather than go home and chill out I seem to have ended up in the pub most nights staying out till some ungodly hour. The weeks have gone stupidly quick, I can't believe that it's almost March.

Computer programming with a hangover isn't much fun. And with my head in that state the code is probably as disorganised as my life and in no way elegant whatsover

I was at work till ten on Monday night, rather than go home and sleep and prepare myself for the demo I had to do in the morning I met up with Ben and Mary the most hyperactive woman in the world and stayed out drinking till three(+).

The demo went OK but I had no energy by the evening, I left work early and had a kip but this meant that I couldn't sleep later and when I finally did I had unpleasantly strange dreams.

Yesterday, my brother's band played at the Kitchen in the Custard Factory and suprised me by being really rather good, a bit sloppy and probably need to be tighter but that doesn't really matter because they seem to enjoy playing with each other and have two good front men and three good guitarists.

Bit hungover again this morning...more work!!!

Happy New Year

It's been a while, lately I've either been at work, in the pub or asleep (in that order I think). January and February have been a rather alcoholic. The year started in the skate park in Moseley which was OK but probably not worth the money we paid, Dan and I then went back to Emma's flat to smoke far too many cigarettes and drink too much vodka, I got home about ten or eleven (I forget now).

A week or two later I found myself in the skate park again, this time for acid techno night...it was full of crusties, spreading the love apparently, this finished far too early for my liking which meant that I naturally decided to find another open nightclub to party in.

The Flatpack Festival at the beginning of this month was good, unfortunately everyone in Birmingham seems to have an aversion to interesting things so the opening night I spent on my own. I'd like to say that I was a bit more fortunate with the Known Unknowns party at the Jug of Ale but people seemed very subdued that night and I ended up alone again.

Had a fun night in Leicester for Kerri's birthday, we went to some dodgy real ale place a la Wellington to start with and then to a place called the basement bar which was rather nice and had a good eclectic music policy.

Nick came up a couple of weeks ago, we were snowed in the Actress and Bishop. The next evening was a bit of a strange one, first I went to a Japanese restaurant which was rather nice but a little on the costly side, then to the horrible horrible wellington to meet up with a very very drunk Stephen, Joe, Phil, Chris, Grant and Rachael, Joe went off on one because I wasn't planning on staying around for too long. After that dump closed I went in seach of Dan, Jon, Caroline, Lucy and Rich in another dump the, skate park.

Last weekend was good, Phil's birthday on the Friday after visiting the Joint Stock and The Wellington (again) we ended up hideously boozed up in the Actress and Bishop, not my favourite place but it reasonable I suppose. Saturday was Phil's birthday again but instead of finding myself in the Actress and Bishop for a third time in little over a week I decided to spend what little money I had left and go see Dave Clarke at the Medicine Bar. Very good, I wanted to stay out for the rest of the day but my brother insisted we go home because he was tired...ahhhh.

So a busy few weeks.
