Rather Pleasant.

I've had a rather pleasant weekend, starting Thursday. ;)

After a very busy few days at work I fancied chilling out with a few ales. I arranged to meet with Phil down the Country Girl, I couldn't persuade Paul to join us - he has got it into his head that he gets too tired and can no longer go out two or more nights in a row. Dan also came but sat there not drinking cuz he's got no money and he wouldn't accept any offers of beer.

Considering I'd probably drank a couple too many I woke up feeling rather bright. Dan said that he felt like he was living in an american teen movie because I was listening to Idlewild?? Had a rather productive day at work, handed over some work for testing which was good. Met Ben for a lunchtime pint which is normally the killer of Friday afternoon productivity, strangely it wasn't.

Considered going to see Idlewild in the evening but decided that it might be better to eat this week and so decided against it. Met up with Rich R, Colin and Phil at the Bell in Harborne which was pretty relaxed and rather nice. Joe was playing cards and wouldn't join us. Drank beer called Irish Whiskey Ale which was quite strong. Back to Phil's house afterwards for more beer, we tried to phone Joe to tell him something very important. Phil then tried to give me alcoholic poisoning with some strong ale. Got home far too late...

...woke up with a hangover. Lovely sunny day though. Joshua and I went out to buy Mother's Day presents.

A trip to Moseley in the evening starting in the Bull's Head ending in the Prince of Wales. Everywhere was stupidly busy...something to do with St Patrick apparently...Watching Ireland beat Pakistan was quite funny.

Today took Joshua home early then went to see the New Arts Birmingham Exhibition at Curzon Street Station which was rather good, and then to another one at The Bond on Fazeley Street which was a bit too graffiti and a bit too craft markety for my liking. I very much liked the art of Ross Jones who is part of the WSA Collective.

I then took some pictures of a deserted Digbeth and was quite enjoying meself but clouds formed and the light became quite rubbish.

Now I am annoying my brother by not coming off the computer. Ha ha.

It's Sunday

Been a much less hectic week, less work, less boozing. Feel much less wired/tired so that has to be a good thing.

Last night was supposed to be Emma's Sodding Off to Peru Party but she was poorly and she cancelled it. Instead Dan, Joe and I met at the Fighting Cocks and then went to the Bam Bam Club at the Rainbow.
