I have been on the sauce almost every single night this week.
Sunday night I met up with Phil for some food and a couple of beers, ignoring the fact that I had to go to work the next day (unlike Phil), hoping that the snow was going to stick around for weeks.
Monday I fancied going to the Selly Sausage for a new acoustic evening that was starting up there. Paul said that he was up for it but couldn't make it till ten which meant there was no point going and again I found myself in the Country Girl with Phil.
Tuesday was the only night off, I felt pretty groggy all day.
Wednesday, my brother was supposed to be organising a gig at the Rainbow but it was spectacularly shambolic, soundchecking two minutes before playing, bands overruning meaning others not playing at all. Edward kept saying that it wasn't his job to be stage manager...silly sod...he should have took the bull by the horns and sorted it all out instead of concentrating on getting as much booze down his neck. There were some pretty good musicians and by rights it should have been a decent night. I left after the drum'n'bass DJs took over the decks and met up with Dan, Ben and Dave in the British Oak to discuss how rubbish the England football team are.
Next day I had a concentration span of a hyperactive toddler which is not conducive for computer programming. It didn't help that I had the dilemma of whether to stay in and recouperate or whether to go with Dan to Oceana for a fundraising thing which I had agreed to go to some weeks before. A bottle of cava helped me decide...probably the wrong choice in the end...feeling very very old surrounded by nineteen year old girls in bikini tops is probably no the best way to spend a Thursday night. ;)
Friday was just stupid - two pints in the german market followed by a million and one others in Apres, Actress and Bishop and the Custard Factory. Going out straight from work and not getting home till threeish is just plain wrong...ha ha. Some fucker nicked my camera!!!
Naturally I was very very hungover yesterday with a cold added into the mix. Nice. I had planned to have Joshua be he has a very nasty cold and it is freezing in my house with no heating, so I took him to my Mom and Dad's house where it is nice an cozy and then met up with Phil for last orders.
I slept for about eleven hours, strange lucid dreams about zombies...

Daft Punk
I've been looking through a million and one music blogs this evening and haven't heard a single thing that doesn't sound like Daft Punk.

Coach Rides.
I was just starting to chill out in Spain when I was horribly returned to work via a twenty five hour coach ride and onto seven days of partying...knackered now....
